The Unexpected Crash (Nick/Ari)

[Nicholai Legend]

It was quite boring in the gardens, Nick figured, but he needed to go there anyway. How else was he supposed to get the rare specimen of "Mantas Monucas?" After all, he needed it for that new potion he was creating...

Nicholai gave an exasperated growl and then turned around, bumping into someone.

[Princess Sienna]

Sienna loved visiting the gardens. It was so peaceful. So serene. She could lay in the grass, and stare at the sky, which seemed endless. Or curl up under a tree with a good book. That particular day, she decided to go for a stroll in the gradens, a book in hand. The dress she was wearing was red, and went down to the ground. She walked into the gardens, which was like an endless realm of flowers, the scent was sweeter than anything she'd smelled before, and the sight was just beautiful. She opened her book, and began reading while she was walking, which wasn't the smartest idea. Suddenly, she felt someone bump into her, making her drop her book. She stepped back in surprise, and looked up to see a young man. Her eyes widened, and she stepped back again. "Who are you?" She asked, looking him up and down.

Nick was quite disgruntled to bump into the girl; he nearly dropped the plant he was holding. She was very pretty, he noted grudgingly. "What do you want?" he asked, annoyed. "And I don't have to tell you my name!"

[Princess Sienna]

Sienna bent over to pick up her book, which she then held to her chest tightly. Looking down, then up, she sighed. "I always come here." Her eyes moved to the plant he was holding. "What is that?"

[Nicholai Legend]

He realized, from the moment he saw her well-made dress and that oh-so-slight haughty air around her, that she was the Princess.

"Princess," he said in a sneering way. "I should've known."

And when she inquired about the plant in his hand, he sputtered out, "It's none of your business!"

[Princess Sienna]

Sienna nodded, taking a quick glance at the fresh grass beneath them. Looking at his eyes, she sighed quietly. "Yes, I am." She took another step forward. "I'm going to ask again, eventually you'll tell me." She reached out her delicate hand, touching the plant lightly.

[Aurora Danaera]

"No, you can't force me."

Nicholai resisted the urge to smile and instead shoved the plant into his shoulderbag, and then stuffed his hands into the pockets of his pants, moving to walk past the princess.

[Princess Sienna]

"Wait." Sienna said to him calmly. "I didn't properly introduce myself." She blinked, offering a tiny smile. "Princess Sienna, pleased to meet you." She moved a piece of hair off of her face then began to walk in the opposite direction.

[Nicholai Legend]

Hmph.

Nicholai stared after her.

Did he....

ugh.

With a reluctant sigh, Nicholai waved his hand and mumbled a few words. A piece of paper flew into the air and dropped before Princess Arielle. Then he waved his hand again and magicked himself home.

A dangerous thing to do.

But hey, he always liked playing with fire.

[Princess Sienna]

Sienna looked at the paper, raising her eyebrows slightly. "What do y-" She began as she turned around. He was gone. Vanished. "Hello?" She called. No answer, but her echo.

[Nicholai Legend]

Nick smiled slightly as he went back to his home.

So, it was only fair that if he knew her name, she should know his.

So, he had written his name down on that paper.

[Princess Sienna]

Nicholai Legend. That named seemed familar to her, as if she'd heard it before. She decided to walk back to the castle, she didn't feel like reading anymore. Part of her- maybe more, hoped she could see him again.
