Persuading the Sorcerer (Aur/Nick)
Nick, with a slight poof, appeared at the portal. It was a large, silvery-white swirling circle that was almost hypnotizing -- to him, at least. Just as he imagined his home, someone called out his name.

"Nicholai!"
Aurora pelted after the boy. Well, boy wasn't the right name for him. He was, of course, only one year younger than she was herself. He turned, startled, and she placed a hand firmly on his arm. "Nick. Of course. We need to talk."

"Not here," said Nick, knowing fully well why she was here. "Let's get back to my place, yeah?"
He plunged into the portal with a firm grasp on her arm.
To him, the portal was like it always was: cold and stung his skin. But he heard Aurora's gasp as they traveled through it, and then they were through, stumbling slightly inside his house. With a flick of his hands, the light turned on.

Re: Persuading the Sorcerer (Aur/Nick)
Aurora let go of Nick's arm and brushed off her skirts. Today, she had shapeshifted into a girl with super-curly red hair, a freckled face and wide gray eyes. She was also rather short, which was disconcerting. "How did you know it was me?" she asked him curiously, looking around his house. It was small and rather dusty.

"You have an aura of magic around you," Nick said airily, waving a hand like it was nothing. "Shapeshifter magic. Nothing to worry about; only sorcerers would sense it. But I did, and then I pieced it all together and it came out as one Aurora."
He turned to her, suddenly serious. "Time to talk. What's up?"

Still a bit huffy that her disguise had been found out so quickly, Aurora tossed her head. Going back to her natural form -- tall, long yellow hair, rather imposing -- she adopted a serious look. "I've come for your support," she said quite honestly.
Re: Persuading the Sorcerer (Aur/Nick)
"My...support?" Nick asked disbelievingly.
His support.
"Of course," he said instantly. "I would give you my support. I owe you...how many lives? Four. But you must understand...my status....it wouldn't do well for one of the most apparently 'evil' sorcerers to deflect to the good side, eh?"

"Oh, so you're evil now?" teased Aurora, and then her gaze softened. "You're a good friend, Nick. I hope you understand that."
Then she shapeshifted into a bird and flew out the window.
